Grade 7s Explore Different Cultures
Metis Bead WorkRCI's Grade 7 Art, French, and Woodworking classes are exploring different cultures by learning some traditional activities. In January and February, students tried their hand at Métis beading and sash-weaving thanks to craft kits from Festival du Voyageur. Currently students are folding 1000 origami cranes to send to the Children's Peace Monument in Hiroshima, Japan. They will also be turning their own kokeshi dolls on the lathe in Woodworking class.
